Objective:

To recognize individuals who have demonstrated superior service and dedication to the running industry or who have earned respect within their community for their exceptional accomplishments. 

 

Criteria for appointing an Ambassador:

1.      Candidate’s sustained contributions (meant for an entire body of work, not just a single achievement) have been significant toward the advancement of the sport of running and its positive impact on society.

2.       Candidate’s extraordinary efforts have been made on a local, national and/or international level.

3.      Candidate’s contributions include, and are not limited to, sporting endeavors, community leadership, health & fitness, service, etc.

 

Appointing an Ambassador:

A selection committee will be assembled consisting of representatives from associated communities.  The award will be bestowed by the Akron Marathon Charitable Corporation Board of Directors. 

 

Responsibilities of the RRAM Ambassador:

·        Provide a brief biography and a picture

·        Provide interviews based on their area of expertise and/or personal experience

·        Participate in key events involving the RRAM

Recognition:

Recognition will be achieved through the following means:

·        Letter to the Ambassador announcing the honor, signed by the President

·        Press Release announcing the new appointment of the Ambassador

·        Awarding of the Ambassador gift (tray) at the RRAM press conference

·        Publication of the names of the Ambassadors on the RRAM website
