The Akron Marathon Race Series presented by Summa Health awards provides an extra incentive for all ages and abilities to participate and complete all three events.

PARTICIPATION SCORING
Participation points will be awarded based on what event distance you complete. Participants registered for all three event dates will be entered into and qualify for series prizes with no additional registration fees. It is required to compete on all three race dates in order to be eligible for series prizes, and age group awards are based on your age at the time of the marquee event – the FirstEnergy Akron Marathon.
National Interstate 8k & 1 Mile
1-mile—35 Points
8k—50 Points
Goodyear Half Marathon & 10k
10k—60 Points
Half Marathon—75 Points
FirstEnergy Akron Marathon, Half Marathon & Team Relay
Team Relay—50 Points (Maximum. No additional points for multiple relay legs)*
Half Marathon—75 Points*
Marathon—100 Points*
*No double points will be awarded on one race date (i.e. no double points for competing in the Relay and Marathon/Half in September); only the event in which you earned the most points will be used.
PERFORMANCE SCORING
Performance points will be awarded to both the Men and Women achieving the following (Please note that overall winners will not be eligible to receive age group points):

3rd Place Overall—55 Points
Age Group Winners
1st Place Age Group—45 Points
2nd Place Age Group—30 Points
3rd Place Age Group—15 Points
In the event of a tie: First tie breaker is determined by the fastest recorded time in the first event date where both (or multiple) individuals participated in the same distance. Second tie breaker will be the cumulative distance completed by the participants over the three race dates (relay counts as 5 miles); longer distance wins tie break.
AWARDS
In addition to the commemorative Akron Marathon Race Series presented by Summa Health Medal for all participants completing any race distance on all 3 event dates, the following additional awards will be given to the top Male and Female point earners in the following divisions:

2nd Place Overall—Recognition Award
3rd Place Overall—Recognition Award
1st Place Master—Recognition Award
Age Group Winners
1st Place Age Group— Recognition Award
Age Groups as follows: 19 and Under, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+. You can only win one award (i.e. Overall Winners are not eligible for Age Group Awards)
* Final Series Standings will be posted after the completion of The Akron Marathon and, once verified, all Series awards will be mailed to the winners.
