BIPOC Goals:

• Increase diverse participation in our events. 
• Build relationships with organizations and community leaders that can serve as a resource to promoting events to diverse community members. 
• Have a presence at existing community events that target diverse community members. 
• Identify barriers of participation and make an effort to eliminate and/or reduce those barriers. 
• Promote event where the BIPOC community receives their news/information. 

BIPOC Community Outreach Events:

• January 14, 2024 at 3:00 p.m.: 26.2 to Life Movie and Panel Discussion with Markelle Taylor, Akron Civic Theatre 
• February 8, 2024 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.: Unity on the Run: BIPOC Empowerment at the Akron Marathon Race Series, House Three Thirty
