Akron, OH (May 4, 2021) — The Akron Marathon Charitable Corporation has announced Traci Buckner and Doug Grassian have been elected to its 11-member Board of Directors.

Buckner is the executive director of the Akron Children’s Museum and provides leadership in day-to-day operations and guidance within the framework of the strategic plan. She possesses skills in all aspects of fiscal management, including budgets, grants, and contracting of services. Plus, Buckner has a track record of structuring and implementing programs and projects that yield sustainable, viable solutions that meet customer requirements and objectives and produce measurable results.

Grassian is the director of global external and digital communications at The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company. He has more than 15 years of executive communication experience and leads a team focused globally on media relations, digital media, crisis communications, employer brand and asset public relations.

In addition to adding Buckner and Grassian to its Board, David Hunter, Attorney for Brouse McDowell, and Donald Luscher, Director of Regional Development at University Hospitals of Cleveland, have been given emeritus status.
