The Mayor’s Cup Challenge is a friendly competition between cities across our community. The city with the highest percentage of businesses participating will earn the prestigious Mayor’s Cup Trophy! Showcase your commitment to health and wellness in your community! Simply register your business for the Akron Marathon Corporate Challenge Presented by the County of Summit and you will automatically join the competition for the Mayor’s Cup!

A: The Mayor’s Cup is an award within the Akron Marathon Corporate Challenge.
Q: How can I register for the Mayor’s Cup?
A: Simply Register Here for the Akron Marathon Corporate Challenge and you will automatically join the competition for the Mayor’s Cup! A minimum of 5 businesses from your city is required to be eligible to win the award.
Q: Does my business need to be in Summit County to participate?
A: No, all businesses across the state who register for the Coporate Challenge can compete for the Mayor’s Cup.
Q: If my business is located in a smaller city, how will it be able to compete against those in a larger city with more businesses?
A: The Mayor’s Cup will be awarded based on the highest percentage of businesses participating in a city. The more business there are in a city, the more need to be registered for the Corporate Challenge in order to have a better chance of winning. A minimum of 5 businesses from your city is required to be eligible to win the award.
Q: What does the winning city receive?
A: The city with the highest percentages of businesses in the Akron Marathon Corporate Challenge will receive the Mayor’s Cup Trophy, and bragging rights of course! Awards will be presented after the Akron Marathon Race Series wraps up in October. A minimum of 5 businesses from your city is required to be eligible to win the award.
